Staying healthy and fit is easy on paper. We all know what we need to do. We need to exercise regularly. We need to eat well most of the time. Working out is easy, spend 30 minutes a day doing intense activity to raise your heart rate or lift some weights. Nutrition should be simple but media and marketing has confused everyone. We know whole foods are best and to avoid processed and packaged foods as well as simple sugar.

Why is it that there are so many overweight people, or people who do not exercise. Do they need more education? You can google the information you need to eat healthy. You can even find meal plans to follow step by step for FREE! We have even given out sample meals plans for free and free workouts!

It’s not what you know. It’s what you do with the knowledge. If you don’t take action and don’t exercise daily or don’t follow the meal plan, then it doesn’t matter what you know. Knowledge doesn’t get you results. Action does! Consistent action!

I know exactly how to improve my 10k time. I have coached people to run faster. I have programmed for them. I have the programs sitting on my computer. Why didn’t my time get faster this year? I didn’t take action and run or put a plan in place. I have all the tools. I just didn’t do it. If I knew I had someone watching me there is a 99.9% chance I would have put in the work.

Many people who come to the gym and start with workouts say “yes I know what I need to eat, I just need to do it.” The problem is you need someone to hold you to it. You need someone to keep you on track. You probably don’t need much education and that’s ok. A coach is meant to make sure you stay on task and take action on what is going to help you the most.

What’s the one thing you need to do to get started or get closer to your goals? Now go and do it today! If you don’t get that one thing done today, then find help! Hire a coach, ask a friend. Whatever you need to do.

We have room for a few people who want to take action on creating better eating habits. Join coach Ash in our 4 Week Healthy Habits Nutrition Challenge starting Nov 2nd!
