As you are building better habits what’s the best habit you can build for solid nutrition?
If you had to choose one what would help you the most?
What one can you not live without?
Do you know? I have probably said this about 5x in the last 5 months!
That is the number one habit that will benefit you the most if you had to choose one.
How much water?
Half your body weight in ounces. If your 160lbs then 80 ounces per day or 10 cups! There are 8 ounces per cup.
Does coffee and juice count? No. Drink water!
Now water seems simple. But it can be more complex than you think. Not just any water is good enough anymore. As goes for fruit and vegetables. We know that there are better quality fruits and veggies (those not sprayed with chemicals).
So what type of water is best and why?
An alkaline water. A water that has a PH greater then 7. This is important because it means it has the necessary minerals for your body to absorb water. Drinking water that has been filtered 7 times or water with a PH less than 7 can lead to your body leaching minerals from your bones in order to absorb the water. So if you have a water that has the necessary minerals it will not affect your bone health.
Drink water, but aim to get in an alkaline water. How do you get alkaline water? You can purchase this at water outlets or just add a touch of sea salt to your water to help.
Todays action step: Calculate how much water you need to drink each day. Then figure out how many water bottles that is. Then consume it daily!
