Remember how far you have come. Not just how far you have to go. You may not be where you want to be, but you are not where you used to be.

It is easy to always think about what we don’t have or how far away we are from something and that can be defeating and it definitely affects our mindset. We definitely want to set long term goals but also have short term goals or stepping stones along the way so we can see progress.

Every day you should look back and be thankful for where you are and how far you have come.

Set goals for where you want to be. Think big, but also realistic. Put your plan in place to reach these goals. Then take action.

Don’t forget to celebrate when you reach your short term goals and to celebrate even the small wins daily or weekly.

Today is a day to give yourself a pat on the back for all the hard work you have done and how far you have come. Once you have done that keep moving forward towards your goals one day at a time.

Those that continue moving forward are always looking back. They are always remembering where they were when they started and realize that they have come a long way and that it is worth it to continue on.

Many people stop a fitness routine because they do not celebrate the small changes they make immediately and are only focused on reaching the larger goal that is out of reach at the moment. When you stop you are moving yourself farther away from your goals.

Today give yourself a pat on the back, say good job and then look slightly forward on the next task at hand. And always aim for consistency.
